Ruth Elliott is the Scottish Labour candidate fro Southside/Newington in the 2026 by-election.
She is an experienced campaigner both within the Labour party and in my local community. Last year she led a campaign against purpose-built student accommodation and almost changed the Housing Bill to regulate it better.
Electing Ruth would mean adding a young perspective to the council, a vital part of our community that often goes underrepresented.
